Helpful moving tips to make your relocation smoother, more efficient, and stress-free.
ONE
If your move involves a storage unit, reserve it early. For delicate items like antiques, opt for a climate-controlled unit to ensure their safety.
TWO
Steer clear of setting important appointments or engagements on your moving day or the evening after. You’ll need the time and energy for the process.
THREE
For apartment moves, reserve parking for the moving truck by parking your car in the spot overnight. This ensures smooth loading and unloading.
FOUR
If you’re renting a truck for your move, make the reservation as soon as possible to lock in availability and your preferred size.

- Pack a box of cleaning supplies and keep it easily accessible under the sink, so you can clean up after the move without hassle.
- Movers typically do not disconnect or reconnect washers, ice machines, or other large appliances. Ensure these are ready to go before your moving day.

- When packing delicate items, use plenty of bubble wrap, newsprint, and other packing materials. Never underestimate the importance of securing fragile valuables.
- Label all boxes with their contents and handling instructions, such as "Fragile" or "Top Load Only." For easier unpacking, consider using color-coordinated stickers for different rooms.
- Tape both the top and bottom of your boxes to ensure they stay sealed during transport.
